The T. Elmer Cox Genealogical & Historical Library, a branch of Greeneville/Greene County Public Library, opened November 14, 2000. The Cox Library houses materials collected by T. Elmer Cox over his lifetime, as well as materials previously located in the Tennessee Room of the Main Library. The Cox Library also acts as a repository for records from the Greene County Courthouse.
